ALLENTOWN, PA – Early on Sunday, at around 3:00 AM, officers from the Fourth Platoon were dispatched to Walnut and Union Streets in Allentown.

They were responding to a reported carjacking and abduction, where a man claimed his pregnant girlfriend was still inside the stolen car.

However, an in-depth investigation by the Lehigh County Auto Theft Task Force and the Allentown Police Department determined the report to be fabricated.

Consequently, Junior Gomez Richardo, 25, of North Street Bethlehem, PA, was charged with offenses related to false reporting.

The Allentown Police Department underscores that charges signify accusations, and the accused is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
