Man Robbed While Buying Food at Street Vendor in the Bronx

Bronx, NY – The New York City Police Department is requesting the public’s help to locate a suspect involved in a recent grand larceny within the 43rd Precinct.

On the afternoon of Tuesday, January 23, a 62-year-old man was robbed while purchasing food from a street vendor at the intersection of Westchester Avenue and Elder Avenue. An unidentified individual approached the victim from behind and forcibly took his wallet, containing around $200, before fleeing northbound on Ward Avenue. The victim did not sustain any injuries during the incident.

The suspect is described as a male, about 5’11” tall, with a dark complexion, slim build, and facial hair. He was last observed wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and black and white sneakers. Authorities are urging anyone with information about the suspect’s identity or whereabouts to come forward.
