ROCKVILLE, MD – Police in Rockville City have reported one man was shot and killed and a suspect is in custody after a shooting on Shady Grove Road overnight.
According to police, at 11:30 p.m., Montgomery County Police and Rockville City Police responded to the 16000 block of Shady Grove Rd. for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound, he later died from his injury.
“Suspects have been taken into custody. This is an isolated incident and there is no danger to the community,” police said. “This is an active and on going investigation. Due to it being a homicide, the Montgomery County Police Major Crimes Unit has assumed the investigation.”
The police have not yet identified the suspect or victim in this murder invetigation.
