Man Shot Dead on Saloon Back Porch in Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH, PA – A fatal shooting occurred early on Sunday morning behind Sophie’s Saloon on Brownsville Road.

Pittsburgh Police were dispatched to Brownsville Avenue and Agnew Avenue intersection in Carrick at approximately 1:30 a.m. following reports of the incident.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a 28-year-old man, later identified as Cole Kearns of East McKeesport, with gunshot wounds to his head and shoulder. Kearns was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident began with an altercation between Kearns and another individual, who subsequently fled the scene.

Currently, the Pittsburgh Police are conducting an active investigation into the shooting, which was recorded on surveillance video. No arrests have been made at this time.
