Man Shot During Break-In at Ex-Girlfriend’s Home

BALTIMORE, MD – Early this morning, Baltimore Police were called to the scene of a shooting in the 3000 block of West Garrison Avenue. A 28-year-old man, the apparent intruder, suffered a gunshot wound to the stomach after breaking into the house of his ex-girlfriend.

The incident occurred around 1:28 a.m. Upon their arrival, police discovered the injured man and quickly transported him to a nearby hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.

Initial findings suggest the confrontation escalated when the man attempted to enter his ex-girlfriend’s locked bedroom, leading to her shooting him in self-defense. Northern District Shooting detectives have since taken over the investigation, seeking to gather more details and urging anyone with information to come forward.
