Man shot in both legs in downtown Philadelphia, suspect in custody

PHILADELPHIA — A 42-year-old man was shot in both legs on Friday afternoon at the intersection of 7th and Market Streets in downtown Philadelphia, according to police.

The shooting occurred at approximately 4:08 p.m. The victim was transported by police to Jefferson Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.

Authorities said the scene is being held for investigation by the Shooting Investigation Group. A suspect has been apprehended, and a weapon was recovered at the scene.
