Man Shot in Both Legs in Syracuse’s Armory Square

SYRACUSE, NY – Early on Sunday, a 25-year-old man arrived at Upstate University Hospital with gunshot wounds to both legs.

He informed the Syracuse Police that he was outside of 127 W. Fayette St. in Armory Square when he mistook gunshots for fireworks, only to realize he had been shot.

The man is currently in stable condition and is expected to make a full recovery.

The Syracuse Police Department is actively investigating the incident and encourages anyone with information to contact them at (315) 442-5222.

This shooting occurred in proximity to another shooting in Armory Square in August, where a Syracuse man lost his life.
