Man shot in face drives to Woodland Avenue for help in Baltimore

Baltimore, MD — A 39-year-old man is recovering after being shot in the face Wednesday afternoon in Baltimore’s Northern District, police said.

The incident unfolded around 4:39 p.m. on September 24. Officers were dispatched to the 2800 block of Woodland Avenue after receiving reports of a shooting. When they arrived, they found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the face. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.

Investigators determined the shooting actually occurred in the 4000 block of Park Heights Avenue. After being struck, the victim drove to Woodland Avenue, where he called police for help.
