Man shot in face with flare gun in Baltimore listed in serious condiction

BALTIMORE, MD – On December 17, 2020 at approximately 12:27 a.m., officers responded to the 3700 block of Wilkens Avenue for a shooting.   Upon arrival, officers located a 26 year-old male who had been shot in the face. The victim was transported to an area hospital and is in serious condition. Upon further inspection of the victim’s injuries, medical personnel determined that the facial trauma sustained came from a flare gun. The victim told officers he was in the unit block of College Avenue when he was shot, but managed to make it to his home on Wilkens Avenue. Southwest District shooting detectives are investigating this incident and are asking anyone with information to call (410) 396-2488.
