Man shot in front of Infant son During Argument in Germantown

PHILADELPHIA, PA – The Philadelphia Police Department and the Shooting Investigation Group are seeking the public’s help in relation to a shooting that took place on the 3700 block of Germantown Avenue on Friday, May 12, 2023.

A 32-year-old man was standing on the sidewalk with his infant son when an unidentified male approached. After a brief exchange of words, the unidentified male fired six rounds from a semi-automatic firearm, hitting the victim four times in the left leg. The victim was transported to a local hospital and is listed in critical condition.

The suspect, described as a black male with a full beard and medium build, was last seen wearing a dark baseball cap, a gray hoodie with a large front logo, and black pants. Anyone with information relevant to this investigation is encouraged to contact the Philadelphia Police Department or the Shooting Investigation Group.
