Man Shot in Southeast D.C. Early Saturday Morning

WASHINGTON, D.C. — A man was shot early Saturday morning in Southeast Washington, D.C., according to the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD).

At approximately 2:15 a.m., officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 800 block of E Street SE. Upon arrival, they discovered a man suffering from gunshot wounds.

The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The extent of his injuries and his current condition have not been disclosed.

The MPD is investigating the incident, and no further details have been released. Anyone with information is urged to contact the police.
