Man Shot in Southwest Baltimore Carjacking

BALTIMORE, MD – A 41-year-old male was found with gunshot wounds in the Southwest District early on September 8 after police responded to a call about a person on the ground.

Upon arrival at the 500 block of South Bentalou Street around 12:23 a.m., officers discovered the injured man. He was transported to a local hospital where his injuries are considered to be non-life-threatening.

Initial inquiries suggest that the victim was confronted by armed suspects who shot him before fleeing in his vehicle. Southwest District detectives are leading the investigation into the incident.
