Man shot in the back while sitting in vehicle on Baltimore street

BALTIMORE, MD — A 43-year-old man was found shot inside a vehicle on a Northeast Baltimore street Friday evening, prompting a police investigation into the circumstances surrounding the attack.

The shooting happened around 7:10 p.m. in the 6600 block of Walther Avenue. Responding officers arrived to find the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the back while seated inside a vehicle.

Medics transported the man to a local hospital, where he was listed in stable condition as of Friday night, according to officials.

Police have not released any information on a possible suspect or motive. No arrests have been made, and it remains unclear whether the shooting occurred while the vehicle was parked or moving.
