Man Shot in the Head, Killed in Bushwick

NYPD crime scene investigative unit.

BROOKLYN, NY – A 33-year-old male suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the head on Myrtle Avenue and is now the subject of an ongoing investigation.

The incident took place on Sunday, September 3, at approximately 4:07 AM. Responding to a 911 call, police officers arrived at 1525 Myrtle Avenue where they discovered the victim. EMS rushed the individual to NYC Health and Hospitals/Elmhurst, where he was later pronounced deceased.

The deceased has been identified as 33-year-old Javier Sanchez of 317 Menahan Street, Brooklyn, NY. No arrests have been made and the investigation continues.
