Man fighting for life after being shot in the head on West North Avenue

BALTIMORE, MD – A 31-year-old man was critically injured after being shot in the head late Thursday afternoon on West North Avenue in Baltimore’s Western District.

Just after 4 p.m., officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 1200 block of West North Avenue. When they arrived, they found the victim with a life-threatening gunshot wound to the head. Emergency personnel quickly transported him to a nearby hospital, where he remains in critical condition.

Detectives from the Western District Shooting Unit arrived on the scene and launched an investigation into the shooting. Officials have not released any information on a suspect or motive, and no arrests have been made as of Monday.
