Man Shot in West Philadelphia in Stable Condition

PHILADELPHIA, P.A. — A 29-year-old man was shot in the lower back on Saturday afternoon in West Philadelphia, according to police reports.

The incident occurred at approximately 1:14 p.m. in the 18th District near the intersection of 56th Street and Walnut Street. The victim, identified as a Black male, was shot once in the lower left side of his back by an unknown assailant.

Police quickly responded to the scene and transported the victim to Penn-Presbyterian Medical Center, where he is listed in stable condition. The scene is currently being held as authorities continue their investigation into the shooting.

No arrests have been made, and the weapon used in the incident has not been recovered. The investigation remains ongoing as police search for the suspect responsible.
