Man Shot Inside Car in Southeast D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department is investigating a shooting which took place on April 15th. The incident happened on the 2900 Block of Hillcrest Drive in Southeast D.C.

The police department is asking for the public’s help in identifying the vehicle involved in this incident. The car, described as a dark colored Volkswagen Tiguan, with possible Florida tags and all black wheels, was captured by a nearby surveillance camera.

According to police, “At approximately 2:40 pm, members of the Sixth District responded to the listed location for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, members located an adult male victim inside of a vehicle, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.”
