WASHINGTON, D.C. — A 23-year-old man was fatally shot Wednesday night in Northeast D.C., prompting a homicide investigation.
Officers responded around 9:42 p.m. to the 700 block of H Street, Northeast, after receiving reports of gunfire. They found an adult male unconscious and suffering from gunshot wounds.
DC Fire and EMS attempted life-saving measures, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities identified him as Jaydon Parson of Northwest D.C.
