Man shot on Eastwick Avenue Tuesday

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. — A man was injured in a shooting Tuesday afternoon in the city’s 12th Police District, prompting an ongoing investigation by the Philadelphia Police Department.

Police said the shooting occurred at approximately 4:28 p.m. in the 6100 block of Eastwick Avenue. Officers responding to the scene found an adult male with gunshot wounds and transported him to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center.

The victim was reported to be in stable condition, according to police. Authorities have not released the identity of the man or details about the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

The scene was secured and is being held as part of the ongoing investigation. The department’s Shooting Investigation Group is leading the case.
