Man shot three times on Nostrand Avenue, manhunt launched for suspect sought by NYPD

BROOKLYN, NY – A 32-year-old man was shot multiple times Wednesday night in East Flatbush, and police are searching for the gunman who fled the scene.

The shooting occurred around 7:18 p.m. in front of 3537–3533 Nostrand Avenue.

The victim was struck three times before being rushed to Brookdale Hospital, where he remains in stable condition.

Gunman fled on foot after shooting

According to police, the suspect approached the victim on the sidewalk before firing several shots, then ran south on Nostrand Avenue toward an unknown location. Detectives have not disclosed a motive for the shooting.

Police release suspect description

The NYPD described the suspect as a male with a dark complexion who was last seen wearing a black hooded jacket with a gray hood, a black baseball cap, green pants, and white sneakers.

Investigators are reviewing area surveillance footage and interviewing witnesses as the search continues.
