Man Shot Week Ago in the Bronx Dies at Hospital

NEW YORK, NY – On Tuesday, July 11, 2023, a male was reported shot at 1791 Gleason Avenue in the Bronx.

The incident took place at approximately 10:25 PM. NYPD officers responded to a 911 call regarding the incident, which occurred within the boundaries of the 43rd Precinct.

Upon reaching the scene, police found a 35-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. Emergency medical services were dispatched to the location, and the victim was rushed to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jacobi in critical condition.

On Thursday, July 13, 2023, two days after the shooting, the victim, identified as Anthony Gonzalez, passed away as a result of his injuries.

As of now, the investigation into the incident is ongoing, and no arrests have been made in connection with the case.
