Man shows up at Temple Hospital after being shot in abdomen, police say

PHILADELPHIA — A 49-year-old man arrived at Temple University Hospital with gunshot wounds Friday night, prompting an investigation by police in the 22nd District.

Officers responded to the hospital at approximately 10:12 p.m. after the man walked into the emergency room with two gunshot wounds, one on each side of his abdomen. He was brought in by private vehicle and is currently listed in stable condition.

Police have not determined where the shooting occurred. No arrests have been made, and a motive is not known at this time.

The Shooting Investigation Group is leading the ongoing investigation.
