Man slashed in face during Queens robbery; suspects flee scene

QUEENS, N.Y. — A 35-year-old man was injured in a violent robbery early Sunday morning in Jackson Heights, authorities said.

The incident occurred around 3:35 a.m. in front of 99-09 37th Avenue, where two unidentified individuals approached the victim, police reported.

The suspects reportedly removed a chain from the man’s neck before one displayed a firearm and slashed him in the face with a sharp object, according to officials.

The attackers fled westbound on 37th Avenue toward 99th Street, police said.

The victim was transported by emergency medical services to NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst, where he was listed in stable condition.

Police are investigating the incident as they search for the suspects, who remain at large.
