Man sought for groping woman at Herald Square subway station

NEW YORK — Police are searching for a man accused of groping a woman inside the 34th Street–Herald Square subway station last week, authorities said.

The incident occurred on Friday, January 31, at approximately 5:25 p.m. when an unidentified male approached a 27-year-old woman on an escalator and grabbed her buttocks before fleeing on foot, police said.

The victim was not injured in the attack, according to officials.

The suspect is described as a male with a dark complexion, last seen wearing a blue jacket, black pants, white sneakers, and eyeglasses.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the NYPD as the investigation continues.
