Man sought in Long Island City subway stabbing

QUEENS, N.Y. — The NYPD is searching for a suspect who stabbed a man inside a Long Island City subway station late Saturday night, police said.

The assault occurred at approximately 11:05 p.m. at the mezzanine level of the Hunter’s Point subway station near 21st Street and 49th Avenue. According to police, an unidentified individual approached a 26-year-old male victim and stabbed him in the stomach before fleeing the scene.

The victim sustained injuries but was not hospitalized, authorities said.

The incident is being investigated by officers from the 108th Precinct and Transit District 20. As of Monday, no arrests have been made and the suspect remains at large.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the NYPD as the investigation continues.
