Man stabbed in face during dispute at Dilworth Plaza; suspect in custody

PHILADELPHIA, PA — A 25-year-old man was stabbed in the face during an altercation at Dilworth Plaza in Center City on Monday afternoon, police said.

The incident occurred at approximately 4:05 p.m., when a verbal dispute between the victim and another individual escalated. According to the victim, the offender produced a knife and stabbed him once in the face.

Center City District Officers responding to the scene found the victim, who was transported to Jefferson Hospital by Medic 1. He is reported to be in stable condition.

Police apprehended the offender at the scene without incident. Authorities have not released the identities of those involved, and the motive for the altercation remains under investigation.

Central Detectives are leading the investigation and are continuing to gather evidence.
