Man stabbed in the Bronx, suspect at large

NEW YORK — A 49-year-old man was seriously injured after being stabbed in the Bronx on Sunday, police said. The attack occurred around 1:15 p.m. near University Avenue and West Kingsbridge Road.

According to authorities, the victim was walking in the area when an unidentified male approached him and stabbed him in the back and foot with a metal object. The suspect fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction.

Emergency medical services transported the victim to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he is reported to be in serious but stable condition.

The suspect remains at large, and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
