Man stabbed to death on subway train in Union Square station

NEW YORK, NY – A man was stabbed to death inside a busy Manhattan subway station early Saturday morning.

The NYPD responded to a 911 call reporting an unconscious male with stab wounds aboard a southbound ‘4’ train as it arrived at the 14th Street/Union Square station near Gramercy Park.

The incident occurred at around 4:02 a.m.

Upon their arrival, officers discovered a 32-year-old man with stab wounds to his torso. Emergency Medical Services arrived at the scene and transported the victim to NYC Health & Hospitals/Bellevue, where he was later pronounced dead.

As of now, no arrests have been made, and the investigation is still ongoing.

The deceased individual’s identity is being withheld pending notification of his family.
