Man Surrenders After D.C. Shooting

WASHINGTON, DC – A recent arrest has been made in connection with a shooting that transpired in Southeast Washington. The D.C. Metro Police Department’s Seventh District confirmed the apprehension of a 30-year-old man following a dispute that escalated to gunfire.

The Thursday, March 7th incident involved an altercation between Keith Walker and another individual around 2:15 p.m. on the 3100 block of Buena Vista Terrace. During the confrontation, Walker allegedly brandished a handgun, shot the victim, and subsequently fled the scene. The victim was later hospitalized with injuries deemed non-life-threatening.

Walker, a resident of Southwest D.C., turned himself in at the Seventh District Police Station on Wednesday. He faces charges of Assault with a Dangerous Weapon.
