PHILADELPHIA — Ronald Kling, 26, of Lardner Street, turned himself in at Philadelphia Police headquarters on Monday, following a shooting incident involving a 61-year-old woman in a bank parking lot. The altercation, which took place at a Wells Fargo branch on Bustleton Avenue, allegedly stemmed from a dispute over a parking spot.
According to the Philadelphia Police Department, Kling shot the woman in the thigh before fleeing the scene in a Kia Sorrento. The woman was transported to a nearby hospital, where she was reported to be in stable condition.
Authorities stated that Kling is now facing multiple charges, including aggravated assault and weapons-related offenses. Notably, Kling did not have a license to carry a firearm at the time of the incident.
“The suspect turned himself in voluntarily and is cooperating with the investigation,” the Philadelphia Police Department said in a statement. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the dispute is ongoing.
