Man Turns Himself in After Assaulting Police Officer

OXFORD, PA – On Monday, at 10:30AM, Jaime Jimenez Juarez turned himself in to the Oxford Police Department (OPD).

The arrest stems from an incident on September 20, when an Oxford Borough Police Officer attempted to arrest Jimenez Juarez on a Driving Under the Influence warrant.

During the arrest attempt, Jimenez Juarez fled, leading to the officer falling and sustaining serious injuries.

The officer has since been released from the hospital. Jimenez Juarez faces multiple charges, including Aggravated Assault and Evading Arrest.

The incident took place in the area of the unit block Niblock Alley.
