Manassas Home Burglarized, Suspect Flees into Woods

MANASSAS, VA—A burglary at a Manassas residence ended with the suspect escaping into nearby woods. The incident occurred in the 7400 block of Bull Run Rd. and was reported at 11:57 a.m. on May 31.

An unknown man forcibly entered the home through a back window. The homeowner, who returned shortly after the intrusion, confronted the suspect still inside the property. The suspect then fled through the same damaged window and escaped into a wooded area behind the house.

Despite efforts by a police K-9 unit and a Fairfax police helicopter, the suspect remains at large. The homeowner reported an undisclosed amount of money missing from the residence. The investigation is ongoing.
