Manhattan Robbery Leaves Victim Unconscious, Suspect Sought

MANHATTAN, N.Y. — Police are searching for a suspect involved in a robbery that left a 26-year-old man unconscious in the vicinity of Metropolitan Avenue and Manhattan Avenue on Sunday morning.

The incident occurred at approximately 10:35 a.m. on August 18, 2024. According to police reports, the victim was approached by an unidentified individual riding a bicycle. The suspect struck the victim on the right side of his head, rendering him unconscious.

The assailant then took the victim’s wallet and money before fleeing southbound on Manhattan Avenue on the bicycle. The victim sustained injuries to his face and was transported by EMS to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue for treatment.

Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding the incident to contact the NYPD as the investigation continues.
