Manhunt underway for double homicide suspect in Syracuse

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Police are searching for a suspect in a double homicide that left an adult and a child dead Monday night on Roney Road.

Officers responded to the 100 block of Roney Road around 9:34 p.m. for a reported shooting and found both victims suffering from gunshot wounds. They were pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall, with brown hair and a beard. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt and blue jeans.

Authorities are asking anyone with information on the suspect’s whereabouts to call 911 or the Syracuse Police Department Criminal Investigations Division at (315) 442-5222.
