Manhunt Underway in Holmdel After High Speed Chase, Crash

HOLMDEL, NJ – An early morning incident involving a stolen BMW exiting the Garden State Parkway led to a crash and an ongoing search for three individuals.

At 2:07 a.m., a Holmdel police officer observed a silver BMW, reported stolen from Orange, Essex County, exiting onto Red Hill Road. Upon seeing the officer, the vehicle sped away and eventually crashed on Middletown Road, near Crawfords Corner Road.

Three individuals exited the car and fled into a nearby wooded area.

Holmdel officers, assisted by Middletown Police, have established a perimeter and are actively searching the area. Residents between Crawfords Corner Road, Middletown Road, and Bell Works are urged to be vigilant and review any surveillance footage that could assist the investigation.

While there is no current reason to believe the individuals pose a threat, residents are advised not to approach them and to contact the Holmdel Police Department immediately if they are spotted.
