Mansfield man doubles down, wins $50K in Ohio Lottery

MANSFIELD, OH — A Pick 5 player in Mansfield struck big in the Ohio Lottery’s May 4 midday drawing, claiming a total prize of $50,417 by matching the winning numbers on two identical tickets.

Jesse, the winning player, selected the numbers 1-9-2-6-8 and placed a $0.50 wager using a 120-way back-up bet. He purchased two of the same tickets for the drawing, with each one paying out $25,208.50.

After mandatory state and federal taxes totaling 28 percent, Jesse will take home approximately $36,300.24.

The winning tickets were purchased at Mansfield MotoMart, located at 1050 W. 4th Street in Mansfield. The retailer’s sale of the winning tickets adds to a string of recent Ohio Lottery payouts across the state.

Pick 5 continues to deliver wins in Ohio’s daily draws

Pick 5 is one of the Ohio Lottery’s daily draw games, with drawings held at 12:29 p.m. and 7:29 p.m., seven days a week. The game offers a variety of wager types and combinations, including straight, box, and back-up bets, allowing players multiple ways to win.
