Maplewood Police Investigate Weekend Commercial Burglaries

MAPLEWOOD, NJ – The Maplewood Police Department reported two separate commercial burglaries over the weekend.

The first incident occurred early Saturday at a Newark Wy business, where an unidentified suspect broke the glass door and stole cash registers.

The damaged registers were later found at a nearby location.

The second burglary happened early Sunday on Valley St, with a similar modus operandi.

The suspect in both cases remains unidentified and is believed to have fled in a dark SUV. Maplewood detectives are seeking any information related to these incidents.
