WASHINGTON, D.C. — Motorists in the District of Columbia should prepare for parking restrictions and street closures this Saturday, November 23, as the city celebrates the unveiling of the Marion Barry Legacy Mural.

The Metropolitan Police Department announced that 4th Street, from E Street to D Street, NW, will be closed to vehicle traffic from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Parking restrictions will also be in effect on the same stretch of road and along the 400 block of Indiana Avenue, NW, north side only, during the same hours.

Vehicles parked in violation of posted emergency no-parking signage will be ticketed and towed, officials warned. Drivers are advised to take note of signage and consider alternate routes to avoid delays.

Authorities anticipate increased pedestrian activity in the area due to the celebration, which is expected to draw significant public attention. Motorists are urged to exercise caution while traveling near the event.
