Marshals Task Force Arrest Covington Murder Suspect


Covington, TN
– U.S. Marshal Tyreece Miller announces the
arrest of Davarious Taylor for first degree murder.

On March 11, 2021 an Andrew Terry was shot to
death in Covington. On March 12 a warrant for First Degree Murder was
issued for Davarious Taylor for this crime. The fugitive case was
adopted by the U.S. Marshals Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force.

Earlier today Taylor was tracked to an apartment at the 1900 block
of Cottonwood In Covington by the Task Force. Working with the Covington
P.D. Taylor was taken into custody without incident.

“First
Degree Murder fugitives always receive our highest priority for us,”
said U.S. Marshal Tyreece Miller.

The U.S. Marshals Two Rivers
Violent Fugitive Task Force is a multi-agency task force in the Western
District of Tennessee with offices in Memphis and Jackson. Its
membership is composed of Deputy U.S. Marshals, Shelby County Sheriff’s
Deputies, Memphis Police Officers, Fayette County Sheriff’s Deputies,
Jackson Police Officers, and Special Agents with the Tennessee
Department of Correction. The primary mission of the Task Force is to
arrest violent offenders and sexual predators.
