Marine Unit Deputies Save Two from Sinking Vessel in Martin County

MARTIN COUNTY, FL – Two individuals were rescued from a sinking 15-foot boat by the Martin County Sheriff’s Office Marine Unit. The incident occurred in the intercoastal waterway near Island Way.

Marine Unit deputies, while patrolling, noticed the vessel in distress as it began to take on water amid choppy waters and high winds. Both men aboard the skiff were safely extracted before the boat submerged completely.

There were no reported injuries.
