Maryland grandpa celebrates massive $150K Powerball win

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD – A longtime lottery player in Woodlawn has struck gold again, winning a $150,000 Powerball prize after previously claiming $50,000 in 2023.

The winner, known as “Winning Grandpop,” purchased the lucky ticket at Woodlawn Shell on Security Boulevard during a routine errand. After scanning his ticket on the Maryland Lottery app, he was “floored” to see he had won.

He matched four white balls and the Power Ball, typically a $50,000 prize, but because he added the Power Play option, his winnings tripled to $150,000.

The repeat winner plans to use the money to help family members and save the rest.
