Maryland Lottery hands out nearly $30.4M in prizes in one week

BALTIMORE, Md. — A Maryland Lottery player in Baltimore hit the jackpot seven times in a single day, winning a total of $350,000 on Bonus Match 5 tickets sold at the same location, according to the Lottery’s weekly report released Monday.

The winning tickets, each worth $50,000, were all sold on July 12 at Wheaton Services, located at 225 North Eutaw Street in Baltimore. All seven tickets remained unclaimed as of Monday morning.

Another Bonus Match 5 ticket worth $50,000 was sold the same day in Princess Anne at King’s Creek, while a separate ticket was sold July 7 at Elbes Beer and Wine in Wheaton.

In total, 15 tickets worth $50,000 made the Maryland Lottery’s high-prize list for the week of July 7–13. One Pick 5 player in Capitol Heights won $100,000 by purchasing four 50-cent tickets for the July 11 drawing.

Overall, the Lottery paid nearly $30.4 million in prizes across all games during the week. A total of 38 tickets worth $10,000 or more were sold or redeemed during that period.

Players have 182 days to claim prizes on draw and FAST PLAY tickets. Prizes above $25,000 must be redeemed at the Maryland Lottery Customer Resource Center in Baltimore by appointment.
