Lanham gas station sells $1.9 million winning Multi-Match ticket

LANHAM, MD – One lucky lottery player who bought a ticket at a Lanham BP gas station is waking up a millionaire after matching all six numbers in Thursday night’s Multi-Match drawing, scoring the $1.9 million jackpot.

The winning ticket was sold at the BP station located at 9701 Annapolis Road. The lucky numbers drawn on Thursday were 6, 14, 16, 24, 38, and 40. This marks the fourth Multi-Match jackpot win of the year.

The winner, whose identity remains unknown as of Friday morning, now faces a decision: collect the full $1.9 million as an annuity paid in 25 annual installments, or take a lump sum cash payout of approximately $1 million before taxes.

Under Maryland Lottery rules, the winner has 182 days from the date of the drawing to claim the prize. Officials recommend signing the back of the ticket and storing it in a secure place. Prizes over $25,000 must be claimed at Lottery headquarters in Baltimore, either by mail or in person by appointment.

The BP station that sold the winning ticket will also see a reward, earning a $1,900 bonus from the Maryland Lottery for selling the jackpot-winning ticket.
