Masked intruders flee police after home invasion in Wall Township

WALL TOWNSHIP, N.J. — Police are investigating an early morning home invasion on Baileys Corner Road that led to a vehicle pursuit, ending with the suspects evading capture on the Garden State Parkway.

The Wall Township Police Department responded to a burglary in progress at 4:44 a.m. on Monday, where three masked individuals forcibly entered a residence by breaking a rear window. The suspects stole car keys but fled the scene in a dark-colored vehicle before being able to take the homeowner’s car.

Officers quickly spotted a blue Nissan Altima with dark tinted windows matching the suspect vehicle’s description traveling westbound on Allaire Road. A pursuit ensued as the vehicle entered the traffic circle at State Highway 34 and continued north on the Garden State Parkway. However, the pursuit was terminated due to safety concerns.

Home surveillance footage confirmed the homeowner’s report, and police believe the suspects were in the area before the incident occurred. The Wall Township Police Detective Bureau is actively working to identify the individuals involved.
