Mattapan Man Arrested on Firearm Charges Following Traffic Stop

MATTAPAN, MA – On Sunday, officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan) arrested Julien Labonte, 28, of Mattapan, during a traffic stop at 1020 Harvard Street in Mattapan. Officers observed Labonte failing to stop at a red light and, upon further investigation, found a loaded firearm in the center console of his vehicle.

Labonte was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, and Operating After Revocation/Suspension. He is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
