Mayor Amato Presents a Seussian Moment for Students at H&M Potter Elementary School

BERKLEY TOWNSHIP-In honor of National Read Across America Day, also known as Dr. Suess’s birthday, Mayor Carmen Amato was happy to read to one of the preschool classes at H&M Potter School today!

Ms. Palumbo’s class was excited to hear the Mayor read “Brown Bear, Brown Bear” by Bill Martin, Jr. Mayor Amato said, “This book is one of my favorites and I look forward to reading it to the students every year.”

All of the elementary schools in Bayville received a Proclamation from the Mayor, encouraging them to “engage in programs and activities that make Berkeley Township children the best readers in the world.”

While at H&M Potter, Mayor Amato met with Tracy Foster, who was recently announced as the Teacher of the Year. Ms. Foster is a 4th grade Basic Skills teacher who is pretty active in the school and participates in after school programs, too.
