MCKEESPORT, PA – A 35-year-old man is in critical condition following a targeted shooting early this morning in McKeesport. The Allegheny County Police Department’s Homicide Unit has taken charge of the investigation at the request of the local police.
The incident occurred at around 3:00 AM in the 300 block of 25th Street. McKeesport Police were alerted to the shooting, and upon arrival, first responders found the victim with multiple gunshot wounds. According to initial reports, the assailant targeted the victim through a window of his residence.
The injured man was quickly transported to a nearby hospital, where he is currently listed in critical condition. Homicide detectives have commenced their investigation into the shooting.
