SUFFOLK COUNTY, NY – Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney recently announced the indictment of Milton Jiron-Lara, a resident of Medford. Jiron-Lara was charged with a first-degree criminal sexual act and other related charges, following his alleged assault of a six-year-old boy.

According to investigations, the incident occurred on June 24, during a celebration at a neighbor’s home. In the early hours of June 25, Jiron-Lara reportedly snuck into the child’s bedroom, bit the boy’s face, and sexually assaulted him. The boy disclosed the abuse after his mother noticed bruising on his cheeks. Further investigations led to the recovery of evidence corroborating the attack, including home surveillance footage showing Jiron-Lara entering and exiting the neighbor’s home.

Jiron-Lara was arrested on June 26. On Thursday, he was arraigned on multiple charges. He is due back in court on July 26. If convicted of the top charge, Jiron-Lara could face up to 25 years in prison.
