Memphis Carjackers on the Run

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – A man was assaulted and carjacked early Friday morning while parked at a gas station on Summer Avenue, and police say the suspects were seen hours later at a nearby convenience store.

According to Memphis Police, officers responded to the 2300 block of Summer Avenue around 1:35 a.m. Friday for a reported carjacking. The victim told officers he was sitting beside pump #4 when a male suspect approached the driver’s side, demanded he exit the vehicle, then punched him in the face and forced him out of his 2012 Chevrolet Cruze.
