Metrobus struck by gunfire in D.C.

WASHINGTON D.C. – Shortly before 4 pm on Monday afternoon, a Metrobus was hit by gunfire in the area of 16th and Irving streets in Northwest D.C. The bus had one passenger on board at the time the shooting occurred. There were no injuries reported.

As a result of the gunfire, the windshield, and door of the bus were damaged. D.C. Metro Police is leading the investigation, and MTPD is assisting.

No other details about the shooting have been released at this time.
